"Joker: Folie à Deux" hits a new low in the market, surpassing "The Fantastic Four" to become the lowest-scoring superhero movie in history

The box office was not optimistic either.

" Joker: Folie à Deux" not only performed poorly at the box office, but was recently given an unprecedented D rating by the market research agency "CinemaScore", making it the lowest-scoring superhero adaptation in history.

Previously, the lowest-rated superhero movie based on CinemaScore was 2015's "Fantastic Four," which received a C- grade. Even "Morbus" shot by Sony was rated C+, which shows how "Joker: Folie à Deux" was not accepted by the public.

In terms of box office, "Joker: Folie à Deux" took in US$40 million in its first week, lower than the expected US$50 million to US$60 million. In comparison, the previous film "Joker" broke the historical record with a first-week box office of 96.2 million, and the final box office reached US$1 billion.
