The members of BLACKPINK are making the most of their break from the group. The members of the famous musical group have taken advantage of the year they have taken off from the girl band to focus on their solo careers. LISA has released Rockstar and New Woman with Rosalía. Meanwhile, Rosé has announced her first LP, Rosie , which will be released next November.

Now, it's Jennie's turn, who joins her colleagues in announcing their new solo single. The Korean star has confirmed on her social networks a new song: Mantra . The singer has announced the news with the cover of the single, where she appears dressed completely in white with a look by the firm Raga Malak . Jennie appears looking at the camera in front of a house of the same color as her look. Without a doubt, an image that transmits to us the tranquility that a "mantra" must have.

But it doesn't stop there. Jennie has also published the release date. It will be released this Friday, October 11th, starting at 2 am (CEST).

But things didn't stop there. Jennie has already shared a small preview of the song on her social media. The artist has uploaded eight seconds of Mantra to her TikTok account. In the video we see her in front of the camera, wearing a yellow cardigan and her hair down. It is then that she begins to sing part of the song:

(Ooh) It's not that deep (Deep), I'm not that drunk (Drunk). Sometimes girls just gotta have fun. Throw it back, all that ass. Me and my sis, we're too attached. It's not that deep (Deep), we're not that dumb (Dumb). Look at them bunnies on the run. Inside glowing like the sun. "You're gonna feel this every day"

"It ain't that deep, I ain't that drunk. Sometimes girls just gotta have fun. Pull back, all that ass. Me and my sister, we too close. It ain't that deep, we ain't that dumb. Look at those bunnies running away. Inside they shining like the sun. You gon' feel this every day."

Jennie opts for a pop song with electronic touches in Mantra: a sound that suits her like a glove. The artist has a perfect register to defend this type of music.

Jennie has certainly had a very good 2024. Although Mantra is the first song she has released this year from her project, we have been able to hear her on Spot! with Zenie and on Slow Motion with Matt Champion. In addition, at the end of 2023 she was in the series Idol, whose soundtrack was composed by The Weeknd.
