Eminem is one of those artists who is able to stop the music industry with every release. This time the rapper has announced his new project through a rather bizarre video. The rapper has announced that his upcoming and highly anticipated album, ' The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) ', will be available on July 12th.
The video, which looks like something out of a horror movie, begins with a woman giving birth to a baby. “When I count to three, I need you to push as hard as you can ,” the doctor says. Once the baby is born, the woman takes the child in her arms and says: “You are the little bug that kept kicking me.”
The baby opens his eyes, which are far from the tender eyes of a newborn, as they are completely black, and he transforms into a demon, with little horns on his skull , a long tongue and pointed teeth . “Holy crap!” the doctor exclaims along with the nurses. Accompanied by screams, the trailer shows the name and release date of The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) in colorful graffiti.
The backstory of the trailer is that it pays homage to the line “little baby devil with the forked tongue and it's stickin' out” from the LP's lead single, 'Houdini,' which was released in late May. Eminem announced the album's arrival in a fake trailer inspired by a documentary about the death of his alter ego.
